I went to the dealer and considered a FZ1. I rode and it's got a lot of power. I told the dealer let me see the aftermarket book. He said he could get me the full fairings for $600. Would take 3-6 weeks to arrive though (The bike is already 10k). I't really was temping but to be able to afford that bike I would of have to trade my other bike and would of taken a huge $$. So I made a decision to go with the Fz6R and maybe if I feel in the future I can sell or trade both and get the FZ1. Heck we all will go though bike changes sooner or later. I really think that with the popularity of the "R" Yamaha would consider a stock FZ1R with full fairings of course it must have the signature "transformer headlight"..haha.

I still wanna know who makes the fz1 fairing kit and how much it is. Anyone know?

Go on Yamaha's website and go to the FZ1 accessories section. If you click under "trim and accents" it lists the lower fairing kits for the 2007 and 2008 models for $640. I'm sure they'll have an 2009 kit soon.

On Canada Yamaha, they offer the FZ1 with fairing and hard cases already to go...

how bout this..

buy the fz1, then i'll trade you my transformer headlight for those , then I'll buy a fz1 and sell my fz6r as the only fz6r without that ghey chrystal ball.

Sometimes I think the only reason I haven't gotten hurt yet is because that chrystal possess super natural powers though. So lets cancel the whole deal. :steve:

They sell fairing kits for the FZ1 already.

OMG that thing looks SWEET. I would love to see Yamaha sell a model with those lowers. WOW:thumbup: +1 on the transformer headlight too.

my next bike i would get the FZ1 with fairing kit.

I dont want the crouched position of the r6 or r1 thats why i got this bike. good sitting position.

When I brought the bike home my wife said I looked like a Power Ranger! Between the power crystal, rabbit ears and my gear I can see her point.

The crystal is my only real complaint about the styling of the bike.
