Seems pretty unsafe trying to get THAT far off the bike to drag elbow... One bump or anything and your balance is all whacked out and off the bike you come most likely... He about lost it, and lost control of his right leg. Not too smart.

Ive gotten far enough off the bike to drag helmet and shoulder! What now??? Oh, im supposed to get back up afterward? Whatever

It sure gave him a shock, his right foot came clean off the peg. After, it looked like he was just holding on for dear life. Notice the rear tire sliding out, almost resulting in a high side.

Regarding dragging and scrapping stuff, my personal favorite is TT racer Steve Plater, especially at the Macau GP, but enough talking ..... here's some pics...

Yeah not a real smart thing to try on a public road. I ride pretty aggressive for the street (probably a little too fast at times) but that's just insane. And all those photographers on that same turn every weekend are doing nothing but encouraging guys to be stupid. That's one reason the photographers on Palomar tend to try and hide and not advertise exactly where they're shooting so people don't try and push harder than they're comfortable with just to try and get a good shot.
