I used goo gone just today to remove three stickers on the swing arm. They came off eventually and all I had to do was wash the area with some soapy water and then I waxed it. Looks clean.

The tank sticker came off in one smooth peel and I never needed to use the goo gone on it (wasn't going to try, since I was worried about it messing up the paint).

I used Goo Gone last night, *after* reading this entire thread.
Yeah, ok, feel free to bestow upon me the oblivious dumbass of the week award...

Long story short, I had a similar haze. I kept it small by not wiping around too much... However, it occurred, that the 'haze' might be semi-dissolved residual glue, which could account for the rough feel.
I grabbed some WD-40, and it *removed* the haze (with some serious elbow grease).

Not sayin' you have the same situation... But, in the event it's *not* from being repainted... I'm just sayin'...

I think we all noticed the haze, but it's just residual glue that u have to polish off with some elbow muscle. The point is the Goo Gone did not damage our paint. :)
