Glad you're finally getting to open her up! Finishing the break in period is like being let off a leash. Man, did it ever feel good doing 100 for the first time.
You might want to go for one more oil change with the dino. It is of course debatable, but some people feel dino allows an engine to break in better, and your engine still isn't broken in after 1000 miles. As I said, debatable.

congrats, i was lucky my break in period was the same for me and the bike, new rider. i didn't have a problem waiting a few miles before i opened her up.

Great! I couldn't wait 600 miles... after the 300 mark I just got a fit and drop the hammer! Bang!!! It felt so good. But I still took it easy until 600 miles, I just gave it a little zip 1-2 once in a while to calm me down. I did switch to Rotella full syth right away too. I'm using the Mobile oil filter also. Work fine, no problem! I'm at 3000 miles now and the oil level is still where it was when I put the oil in...
I cringe every time I see this video....MY wife would kick my @$$ if I opened her up while she was riding pillion...

The only thing I don't agree with here is if you're going to ride at any given RPM for extended periods. I didn't keep mine below 5000 like they said. I let it get up to 9000 from time to time. But I don't think sitting in 6th gear on the freeway at 6000 for a 20 minute ride is good on a brand new engine. Don't worry about how high the rev's go, (I wouldn't bang off the rev limiter though) but don't sustain them for long periods of time. That's the way I look at it.
