Just got my Gerbings order in fom Revzilla. Mind you, I ordered this Sunday, and paid standard shipping. It's Tuesday.
I got the Hybrid Heated Gloves and jacket liner for me, and the Lady Rider Heated Gloves and jacket liner for the missus. And a Dula Zone controller for both.
I got these because with the temps dropping, my hands are killing me, and I want to ride as much as I can through the winter since we usually don't get tons of snow here in Va. So as I was cold gear shopping, I decided to make the plunge and go for heated gear.
I have yet to install the wiring harness to my batteries, and I haven't ridden yet because it's a bit warm out today and my wrist is still a little jacked from yesterday's spill. But the fit is great.
The liner fits well under my Icon jacket, it makes it just a bit more snug than the liner that came with the jacket. But it is much warmer, even not plugged in. The gloves fit well, and tho bulkier than a regular glove, feel fine and not over-bulky. And even without plugging in they are very warm.
I'll try to remember to post after I test them heated, but even without juice these are comfy and warm, and if they perform as countless others attest to, I should have no trouble riding year round at all.
The wiring seems really well integrated too. Gloves plug into jacket liner right at end of sleeve, controller plugs into jacket liner at waist, and into bike where you place the plug from the battery. Great overall design.
Overall it is rather spendy, but you have to ask yourself, how much $ would you pay to add 3 or 4 months to your riding season each year? Considering this is a one time purchase, and should last me several years, it's really like buying another couple years worth of riding. That's how I look at it.
Not my pics, too lazy to take and upload right now.
