I too have moments were I believe I should have gone bigger? Then when I start riding my 6R and feel how fun it is to weave in and out and it will crank-up to 100mph in no time I think to myself do i really need to go any faster. For me the 6r is just PURE fun and thats what I got it for.

"Speed has never killed anyone, suddenly becoming stationary... That's what gets you."

Been there done that. My bike and body totaled out a 55 chevy four door when she [a big fat slob] made a left turn in front of me. No time to think, just bang. I was unconscious for two weeks. I was on my 1957 BSA Rocket. That was 1962. You don't have to tell me about the sudden stops. I came very close to dying. The ambulance personal told my mother I had lost so much blood and he did not think I would make it. She had met the ambulance at a small hospital and they were taking me to a bigger one because of the bad condition I was in. My wounds are starting to bother me as I get older. So,the faster you go the more hurt you get.

I totally want a Honda CBR600RR but for the commuting I do, the light touring I'm looking to do, and the awesomeness the fz6r offers at its price point, the fz wins by a mile.

i like my fz6r, but i dont love it. i can honestly say i wish i went with another bike but alberta canada has passed a by law saying no one under 25 can insure a bike 1000 cc or higher, and after 650 cc your insurrance literally doubles. so 600 cc was the max i could really get before it just wasnt worth buying a bike and out of the 600 cc bikes i looked at im happy with the fz6r for the simple fact i didnt want to fork out enough dough for an r6 and the cbr600 just "felt" too small. i dont like the looks of the ninja and the simple fact that the fz6r has a clock is awesome since its not safe to wip out my cell and look at the time while riding and when on a cruise its very easy to lose track of time and you all know what im talking about lol. the fz6r is great, but im hoping within a year or 2 (after a few more years of schooling and a few more raises) ill be able to get a 750 or 800 cc supersport and pass the fz6r on to my girlfriend but i cant say i have any short or long term plans to sell the fz6r. its a fantasticly comfortable bike and great commuter, im using it to get back and forth to college every day right now.

Who needs a clock! I want to lose track of time :D How big are you I'm 5'8'' and 135 lbs, maybe the cbr will be perfect!

There is always something bigger and faster. The FZ6'R will take me up
any hill at the speed limit without shifting down and cruises nicely at
any legal speed. It is also a lot more comfortable that some of the
faster bikes. I did 800 miles in one day last year and could still walk.

im 5'8 and 210 lbs lol. the cbr felt like a smaller bike, like sitting on a 250 or something. very very tiny feeling even the pegs were just to small for my wide sasquatch feet. meant for a skinny person thats for damn sure.

You guys are almost twins!

Talking about deceleration hurt... watch that idiot!

YouTube - Yamaha R6 incidente a 257Km/h

I don't quite understand why someone would add happy music to such a lame performance. Frankly, the rider's skills are truly embarrassing.

And assuming that the other cars were driving between 110 and 120 kph, that motorcycle couldn't have been going any more than 160. The video poster was obviously exaggerating the speed. All the more reason for the rider to be embarrassed!
