I had to remove the faring. The paint has held up great! I will probably add clearcoat to seal it though. It took about 2 hr. I didn't tape it off I just freehanded it. I figured what the heck, if I mess it up im just going to remove them. I was very pleased with the outcome! Love the barcellona red on the pearl. And the wheels I think are a good accent piece. The tank was the hardest part. The paint didn't want to flow right because of it being sideways instead of upside down. The pics are when it was still a little wet now that it has dried it shines! Also hadn't had time yet to finish wheels. Will post new pics soon. By the way I think blue would look Awesome!

In all honesty, I get more compliments from guys on cruisers. Most sportbike riders keep telling me that I need to remove the decals. I personally like some kind of design verses a large blank canvas, kinda seems like something is missing without the flames. That's why I left mine on my bike, and yeah I am a dude.

I'm glad I found this thread. I found a white '09 leftover and I really want to scoop it up, but not a huge fan of the pink. I'll probably end up peeling off the decals on the fairings and just spraying the tank.. or just leave it since my STi is white w/pink decals anyway and they'd look cute together.

Love the pearl white...............

When I decided I wanted an FZ6R I was trying to decide between blue or yellow, then I came across the white and knew I had to have it. We actually drove an extra hour to get the white one since no other dealers had any around here. Funny part is my fav color is blue, but I just love the pearl, had to have it. We asked about the "girl only" graphics scheme and a few dealers told us the pearl white sold faster than any other color ( partially because they didn't make as many white ones? ), and alot of buyers were guys. I have to agree with others here that you don't see alot of white bikes either.
I say ride whatever color bike you want, but since I am a girl it's a win-win for me!
