hello,
I wanted to get my fairings painted so i removed all the side fairings. But i am not sure how to remove the front headlight fairing that is attached to the windshield. When i look inside, i seem so many different bolts in all angles. Does anyone have any pic or write up of how to...
Im new to this so dont freak out if i screw this up.:o i just low sided my 09 fz6r @ 50mph and did a good job trashing the front end. i need to replace both forks and am having a heck of a time finding stock replacements. there are tons of r6 front ends out there but im not sure how involved it...
Hi guys, I want to paint the front fender with plasti dip flat black. I saw 4 bolts, 2 hex and two allen, and a clip retaining the brake hose. Any suggestion in the remotion of the brake hose clip?
Thanks in advance!
Hey! Not a new rider, grew up on dirtbikes. However I am relatively new to sportbikes, I've ridden friends bikes pretty often (r6, bmw rt1200, can am rt, and a few cruisers), never bought my own until now.
Completely in LOVE with my fz6r "izzy" this bike is incredibly light, nimble, and...
I am thinking about raising the front fender on my bike by about half an inch so that I can use a higher profile front tire, possible a dual sport tire.
Does the front fender act as a fork brace? If so, I assume the forks would need some extra bracing if I were to in fact raise the fender.
I recently picked up a 2009 fz6r that is a little bit wrecked. I'm looking for some stock parts to make it pass an inspection to make her road legal. Most of these parts might be hard to come by but if anyone knows of a parts bike or a salvage site or anything, let me know!
Things I need...
Hey guys, I'm an avid rider and motorcycle enthusiast but this is my first foray into a Modern Sportbike. I rebuild and ride vintage motorcycles, I have a '76 FLH, '74 shovel chop, '66 BSA a50, and the newest bike i've ever owned is a '97 1200 Sportster.
At any rate, one day I realized that...
I rolled up to the tyre guys I use near town this morning, bright & early to beat the heat here today (41c).
Couple others had same idea too, we all waited for the shop to open.
I intended to have a used tyre swapped onto my front, I brought my spare with me.
So anyway install gets done I pay...
went outside the morning after new years to see my bike laid over. had it chained up so not sure if someone tried to take it or just neighborhood kids playing on new years. but one of my mirror nuts is missing and i've heard rattling every since. not sure if its from that. because i hear the...
2011 Copper FZ6R (SoCal) $2800
Hey Guys,
Ive decided to sell my 2011 Copper FZ6R. Its been a great adventure, but i've got a baby girl now and just have 0 time to ride. I've also moved closer to work so I spend no time on the freeway commuting anymore. Looking forward to retaining a little...
At dealer near my home.
Not sure of manufacture date, the guys tried to find it but they said it was Spanish version so not sure.
120/60/17- 45.00 dollars new
150/70/17 - 49.00 dollars new
Should I go for it? Will the different than stock size make a difference for the worse. Shorter...
Hit a curb and now needs new front tire and forks. There are some very thin scratches on the front left side of the plastic. I bought flush mount turn signals but never installed them, they are included. I have no clue what to price the bike at. I know forks are $800 + labor and tire is maybe...
Relax the lean angle over the bump, I could hear a squeal from the front tyre here.

Looking to get into a new bike. I have my 2013 FZ6R up for grabs if anyone is looking for one. Has pretty much everything from a two brothers full exhaust, hid light, rear wheel cover, front smoke led side lights, integrated tail light, rear tail light delete, smoked front windshield. No...
Before you need to change the rear suspension or lower or make mods to the rear. I read an article in SuperStreetBike "FZ6R Better than you Think" where they look to have lowered a 2011 as much as possible by brining the forks up thru the Triple Tree to the maximum (just before they hit the...
Let me preface this by saying I'm still a bit of a noob when it comes to bike maintenance (but as issues arise, I am learning :) .) From most everything I've read, the rear tire typically wears faster than the front. I have just over 5500 hundred miles on my bike and the front is definitely...
Wish me Luck. With the help of a friend of mine who has rebuilt his own cruiser and youtube, I will be taking my forks off. I'm not mechanically inclined whatsoever so it will be a learning experience.
The reason for this is to assess the damage that occurred when I hit a curb at an angle...
