    Anyone Know Bulb Sizes?

Has anyone switched out to the LED? My reason for doing it is for power savings. I run heated grips and a heated vest. No problems. But, I added heated pants just last weekend and after 30-40 mins of riding, I was starting to drain the battery. I'm pulling about 25-30 watts in excess of...

    SPROCKET HELP-beating a dead horse I know

I did 43 in the rear and 17 up front. Main reason for going with 43 in the back was that I can leave that one on, run 17 or swap for 16/15 up front to get tall/short gearing. Very easy to change the front, 15 mins job at most. Rear is a pain, so by going small on the back, I can change the...

How to save 5.75 lbs off your bike in 5 minutes

What I want from my fz6r

The nice thing is that the Givi's will go with it, that's the most exspensive part. Madstad will to and so will the heated grips if I get a bike with the same size bars (odd are). 600 is a bit light for me too, the new 800 would be a nice upgrade, but I want full fairings so there is less to...

    I need some dimensions-please help

I love to see a bike out in the sun like that. With all that snow behind it! That's dedication.

What I want from my fz6r

Pics: -3 rear sprocket (gold) and +1. Madstad adjustable windscreen with short smoke windscreen (summer) and tall white (winter). Heated grips, gps mount, tankbag (small one, I have a larger one for big trips). Givi hardcases w/backrest. Handguar grips (the black part comes off for...

    +1/-4 gearing

+1/-3 on mine. Then switched back to 0/-3 for a little shorter gearing. The +1/-3 is great for long trips. I did -3 because then I can just swap the front back to stock to get better pull without having to do the back! That's a pain.

    Should I Move out?

Wow. A lot going on there. I’d start off by saying staying at home after 18 does take a bit away from a person. Wrap it around anything you want, it boils down to feeling proud of yourself. If you feel like a loser for still being at home, I agree. Loser. Feel that way. Doesn’t mean you...

Bike chase on TV and the real footage

Why do bike riders do this crap? And why do we defend them by picking on the police? “Look how he isn’t wearing his seat belt”? Sorry, but all I see is another jerk sport bike rider making us look bad and people trying to defend him by making up lame excuses for what the police did wrong...

    I need advice...on a job offer

Take the consistent income and spend your time getting some education that can get you moving in a better direction. As for your girl, I’m on her side. This “all you need is love” is a bunch of crap. We wouldn’t hesitate a moment if you were going off on crack, or became a serious alcoholic...

Installed a 12 volt power point

Never thought about installing it there. This is where I put mine, one on each side. Figured it was easier to put them there and I wanted easy access from the tank bag where the iPod or phone might be. One on each side, so I have the GPS in one, the phone/ipod in the other. Used the USB...

    Insane motorcyclist

I wrote a post about people giving sportbike riders a bad name. Case in point. Douchebag. There's a reason why the cops are after him, this was just plain stupid. Sure, you wanna do that on a racetrack or on a closed course, knock yourself out. But in public? No question why most...

Pickup driver tries to kill motorcyclist.

I think we all need to look at it from both points of view. Let’s look at the truck. Clearly an anger problem. Wonder why he’s angry? This “back country road that all bikers like to ride” clearly is not just in the country. I see a pass through a small town (cars all on the side of the...

    Layed her down :-(

Smoke dope? Someone had to be. Don’t mean to be a hard ass, but you know that “funniest home videos” show where the dad is throwing the ball to the kid and you KNOW someone is going to get hit by the bat or the ball? You can just see it coming? Yeah, I’d have to say the moment you started...

    Pilot Road 3

Put a set on a few weeks ago. 128 front, 152 rear. Paid 110 to have them installed. That's the crazy part. They feel good, but I never had a problem with the stock tires to beging with. Always had plenty of grip all the way to the edge of the tire. I don't ride in the rain, so the...

    Dropped bike and fall!

It all about being on top of it. It’s almost impossible for anyone to hold up a bike once it gets too far over. That’s just a fact of life, no matter how strong you are. What comes from experience, is knowing how to keep the bike in balance all the time. Very similar to gymnasts on a balance...

Gas: How low do you let it go before filling up

I will try and fill up with one bar left if its just around town riding. I've been on F-trip many a time, 20-30 miles into it. Still had plenty left. Done this about 20 time, so it's not a problem to ride until you hit it. Most of the time, its all about where the next station is. If we...

    speedohealer

Wow, thats some short gearing. You have got to be turning some high RPMs while doing 70 mph down the freeway. 8000 rpm? Stock, when adjusted for the proper speed, is already 7k at 70 (stock, it shows 7k at 80, but the speedo is WAY off at stock).
