After reading the details I'm glad your are able to stand and move around. Very lucky, I hope you have a speedy and full recovery.
BTW, way to man up and admit and take responsibility for your actions. No excuses made, you told it like it is.
Get well.
I find your post interesting.
I've always thought of myself as more of a cruiser type of person until I ran into this FZ6R at a show, (2011 Copper to be exact). This bike has grabbed me and it is just a matter of time before I put pencil to paper and get a FZ6R.
I went back to the dealer last...
Thanks Superzoom, that is why I am backing off the DN-01, I think I will eventually be second guessing that purchase.
I was originally after a FZ6R and that is what I am going to stay with.
I have gone outside of this forum and have done a lot of research on both bikes.
I feel as...
Nice, you and 24KMach are good to hear from. I'm 44 and wonder how much longer I would want to be on a FZ6R. Hearing from you two lets me know I have a ways to go.
Thank you.
Everyone is throwing me some good input. Even the comments saying "the Honda is ghey." Yeah, yeah, funny, but I...
For the Honda $454.00 for one year.
For the Yamaha $480 for one year.
Either way not too expensive, IMHO. I carry a hell of a lot of coverage on my all my insurance plans. Sounds decent to me. So insurance cost isn't going to scare me away.
Bingo.
This is bothering me a lot.
There are a ton of new 2009 DN-01 up for sale right now from dealers at 8600 to 9300. Which says to me that no one liked these things and I'd never be able to resell it if I wanted to. I'd have to give it away. Or they are just way over priced at $15500.00.
I've been shopping for FZ6R for a while now.
I have a yellow or a black 2009 FZ6R lined up for $5500.00 out the door. You all know the bike.
However, I had a friend with me and he said I should consider this other bike at the dealership that I've seen before, but always passed by because...
You're 100% right, but when I'm jamming the gas pedal in my vette, I have fiberglass and 4 tires around me. There is plenty of risk there too. I guess I'm used to that car and it will be a matter of getting used to a bike.
Maybe, I should go cruiser. I know sooner or later I'm gonna want to...
I know I started this thread to get more insight and learn from you guys and I am.
However, I must admit I'm getting some cold feet.
I don't think I'll let it stop me though. I wanna ride.
