I only have the individual lights each on its own wire, so how would I attach them? Do I attach them to the frame with an adhesive or tie straps or should I glue them to the plastic?
I did a search but did not see any threads on the best way to put led accent lights on the 6r.
What are some ways to add the small led lights under the plastic?
Thanks for your help in advance!
I always thought the larger tire would provide for better grip due to the contact patch, until one of my physics class. Here they defined the grip as being a relation of both friction of the material and the normal force (ie. the force applied downward at the contact). In the real world as...
Stopped in at a Yamaha dealership and they had a brand new FZ6 for $4999, whereas the FZ6R was a $7100 (both were 2009, brand new). Asked as to what the difference was since I had read the FZ6 had more power, etc. and they said the FZ6R had much more power than the FZ6.
Has anyone had their bike on a dyno once they had the R6 exhaust, higher flow air filter, power commander, etc.???
Just wondering how much you have to gain for the price.
Many Thanks!
Got another bike after a few years of not having one. Now I am in a bigger city and the traffic always keeps me on my toes. Before I mainly had to watch for deer. Don't know which is better.
This thread is great!!!

Unfortunately I purchased it from a private party and it is out of warranty. I am going by smell and I did try to light it on fire (dropped some on a can). It took about 10-15 seconds under a flame to light, so it may just be the oil burning. At this time I believe that the oil level is...
I recently purchased a 2009 FZ6R with 1500 miles. In the last week I put on about 100 miles and when I checked the oil I noticed that it had a fuel odor to it.
I believe this may be due to a float bowl problem but since it is fuel injected I don't know.
Can somebody enlighten me to what...

From what I recall the higher octane is needed for higher compression engines, since it is less prone to detonation. Detonation is when the mixture ignites without the spark. When does detonation occur, in...
