Got my 6R Saturday, put on 100 miles, ordered Werkes fender eliminator and was planning Two Brothers exhaust but if I've read their FAQ correctly the system may not be street legal. Is it?

Here's what Texas says about motorcycle exhaust:
§ 547.604. MUFFLER REQUIRED. (a) A motor vehicle shall be equipped with a muffler in good working condition that continually operates to prevent excessive or unusual noise.
(b) A person may not use a muffler cutout, bypass, or similar device on a motor vehicle.
It's up to you whether you think the noise from the Two Brothers is excessive or unusual. Are you generally pretty lucky?![]()
If cops pull you over for a 2 Bros, they better have pulled over every Harley with aftermarket pipes (which is every HD) first.![]()

Lol @ those talking about the FE.
I think in most places exhausts like the TBR are illegal, but like with many things, bikes can get away with stuff more than cars in a lot of respects.

Not sure if my fellow CA riders knew about this law...
California enacts an un-sound exhaust law | Dealernews
"An older bike that has a non-compliant aftermarket exhaust installed or purchased after the 1/1/13 deadline would also be in violation of the law."
Pretty ridiculous and unfair for exhaust dealers/vendors.
