If has backward compatibility with ps3 stuff, I'm saving money and buying on the release date. If not, I may just wait.
I am not sure what I am going to do as far as Xbox or Playstation, but I know it will not be at launch, too crazy, and the price just won't be worth it to me.

How was ps3 a bust? They have nearly identical sales and the 360 has many multiple-purchasers because people buying 2nd consoles when their first broke. They both have their strengths/weaknesses.
I will wait until some great games come out. Launch games are always decent but not worth buying a console for. I waited until oblivion came out before buying a 360 and medal gear solid 4 before buying a ps3.
Once a game comes out that I can't live without ill get the ps4. Until then I enjoy the news about it.

Only reason I am with Playstation is because I am in no way paying to play online with the amount of money it already costs us for games, consoles, etc. I'll take a little more lag here and there. Stupid expensive as it is.

Best workouts out there, because it doesn't let you cheat. Customizable, progressive, and flexible. And, you don't need Xbox Live to use them (which *is* a rip).
Have no use for two game consoles.

I like my PS3 because it plays Blu Ray discs. It gets used for that more than games and it's one less box on my A/V shelf

Much the same... it's an addition to the entertainment center, not just a gaming console.
I really hope they expand the built-in streaming media... I use it on the weekends for music (copied to HD) while cleaning or relaxing outside... we watch video, youtube, etc...
I will not pay a lot, I actually waited for the PS3 to drop to under $300 before I grabbed it... and I waited for the blu-ray v. HDdvd battle, but I think eventually, disc media will be gone...
right now, these streaming sites are bonkers if they think I'll pay $6 for a movie, that I can get for $1 at redbox... or even buy outright for $10 and watch as often as I want. I use Amazon's prime, comes in at $80/year and they have plenty of movies/tv shows for "free" to keep me busy.

Per the following CNET articles, the PS4 WILL be able to play not only PS3 games but at some point via a cloud service also PS1 and PS2 games. That info comes straight from Sony, not CNET. It's in the paragraph just above the picture of the guy holding a controller.

I need a computer more.Unless my ps3 has a meltdown, i'm probably going to buy a computer before a ps4.
I may go the PS4 route, have a xbox 360 but the new xbox 720 supposedly isn't going to be able to play used games without re-buying a license to enable it. It was a rumor initially, but I think I saw somewhere recently where it was confirmed. What a F'n deal breaker. My son buys a lot of used games from game stop. If it proves to be true it will be the end of the Xbox!

PS3, because I refuse to pay for online service. You already pay enough for the damn system, they can't give you something for free? You pay almost 50% more for netflix on 360, compared to ps3, only because you have to pay for the online bs. No thanks. Then you gotta buy a blu ray player to be equal with the ps3, again more money.

The XBOX 360 was the bust...I've had my 1st gen PS3 since two weeks after they were released, and it works like new after being used hard it's whole life. I've bought my girlfriends son 3 XBOXs, and the third is in need of replacement after barely a year... Just sayin. Also Sony doesn't make you pay to play online. I don't pay shit to school y'all in Black Ops 2 other than the cost of the game.
folks, i think we've pretty much covered the bases on this one. playstation peps don't like Xbox and Xbox peps don't like Playstation. I don't think we're breakin' any new ground here.

I have to say, I have at home kinect and ps move. Kinect is great for kids but the lack of precision annoys me. PS move its way more precise for games like boxing and golf. It's a shame it looks stupid with those colored balls.

Online environment nowadays sucks on ps3 and xbox. Bunch of kids that shouldn't be playing cursing and annoying. I miss the good old days of counter strike.
Apparently it has been confirmed that the PS4 will play used games. That was a huge problem that people were really worried about.
