What did you do to your bike today?

Really??? I've never seen any filter other than K&N with that.

yeah, the one I put on my bike recently has that same feature and it's not a K&N. Some other brand but it has the head on it to attach a wrench. makes life easy.

I forget where my boy got it from, he picked mine up for me when he was getting one for himself but both of ours have them.

Apparently there are at least a couple other companies that put that on their filters. At least that's what the parts guy told me when I spoke to him while my friend was picking them up.

I know the ones I put on my car have it as well and they aren't K&N brand.

This was last week but ordered the new ZX6R mirrors for my bike and a seat latch for the cowl seat I bought, waiting for the dealer to get them in. No rush for me since its winter and my dealer basically price matches all the online stores, just gotta bring in proof. :-)

Installed the new grips that got delivered today... Super easy to do. Took me about 5 minutes to do both.

Like the grips Tatty. Was thinking about getting some red spider grips as well. Did you cut the old grips off?

They feel really nice, haven't had a chance to actually "test" them yet.

I did not cut the old ones off. I did this:...

Was super easy to do!!

[Edit: I used an old wire coat hanger to make the little "tool"]

[Another Edit: I did take the bar ends off to do this]

Well today was really my first ride over 10 miles on it because i just bought it sunday and just got insured...was riding to work this morning and took the wrong exit and didnt relize it for about 10 miles lol...I was just having so much fun riding that i just got lost into where i needed to go...

This weekend I did some simple stuff.

I put the new front fender on to replace the one that my friend wife ruined (she backed into the bike and luckily only broke the front fender).

I also cleaned up the chain and added a fresh coat of motul chain wax. I like that stuff, it seems to stay cleaner than the normal wax. I just put in on more regularly to ensure good lubing and protection.

I need to pick up a new brush for the chain and swap the exhaust out for something that will give me some better access to the chain. The stock exhaust really restricts access to the chain to be able to clean it and all.
