The twotw books and video are essential imo to learn proper riding technique. I still go back and watch and read them to refresh.

am pretty sure i'm going to do a one or two-day session at the ca superbike school in sept at willow this fall... hopefully i'll learn some stuff there to help me along

Here's a couple from my ride this morning. Was very surprised to see the photo guy out there this morning and even more to see the pics already up.
A bit better. I kind of feel like, with this new suit, I'm having to relearn some things as it fits so much more snug than my other suit. Not that it's really restrictive, it's just cut with so much more precurve that I'm having to get used to it all over again.
I did run into a couple of friends that I haven't ridden with in quite a while out there this morning and joined up with them. Lets just say I've learned a lot since I rode with them last time and they were, um... surprised that they couldn't keep up.
Here's a pic of each of them following me. 
Big guy on the R1 is just a little crossed up.

:rockon: awe shux shes flirting with me again ;-). Lol thanks liz. Im glad i picked the suit i did too. Being a racer my whole life (not motorcycles) part of it was always looking good and looking like you have you shit together. Ive always been that way with the bike too.

Hey Jon, I've noticed that you never seem to tuck your elbows in. Is that a personal choice, or just something you don't worry about?
On a side note, that guy in the last pic looks like he needs a serious intervention before he hurts himself. He may have a million miles riding experience, but he's not looking good in that pic.

He's a better rider than that pic shows. But he does need to work on his form and he knows it. As for my elbows the high bars on the bike kind of make it hard to try and tuck them in. I try to get the outside elbow low and laying on the tank and usually resting on my outside knee. The inside elbow tends to stick out because it has to be bent so much to get my upper body far enough to the inside. If i had more traditional clipons that were angled down and back more, the inside elbow would be tucked more.

I still need to pick up these resources. I really enjoy your pics and body position advice given. It has made me a safer and faster rider already. Theres a corner leading home where I had been stuck around 53 mph. Just getting head in better position, I went thru @ 60 and felt smooth as glass. Thanks for all the tips.
No photos or go pro. Hit a good monthly bonus and go pro will be on!

a few recent pics of mine. i gotta get rid of the orange levers. i was trying to accent everything in orange but it wasnt working and they are the last orange things left. the metallic red rim stripes and and pinstripes and projector shroud looks much better in this color than orange and closely match the paint color.

I've been trying to do the same thing as you did with accenting everything in orange and I'm noticing it's not a very popular color. I'm in too deep to switch over to red, but it does look good.
