Bar End Mirrors/Block-Off Plates

Ok! Well, here is a photoshop of the front fender black and the rear spring black. I have a black spring on the way so that will look good. Not sure about the fender though? Took forever to PS the damn thing im not so good at this. Couldnt figure out how to do the FE though.

Thoughts? Fender wouldnt look bad if ther was a black hugger in the back.

That front fender in black looks good. You made me think now, how would a black front fender look on my white FZ6R...

I ordered some r6 block off plates off of amazon tonight. I am hoping the 2nd hole I had to drill for the r6s mirrors will line up with these block off plates. I have decided to go with a bar mount mirror. Here in ohio we only need 1 to be legal. I am going to give it a try and see how it looks compared to the r6s mirrors which get in the way of my clutch and brake levers. And trust me I have tried adjusting both so that the levers wont hit but some how at a full turn to the left or the right they catch the lower side of the mirrors! Even messing with the handlebar position doesnt cure it. Off with there heads!

That's very odd. Do you have the levers rotated up a lot? Mine are down pretty much as far as you can go and I've got TONS of clearance.

I have them rotated as far down as they will go and have even adjusted the handlebars back up a bit to help lower the levers even more and they still bind on the lower part of the mirrors. We'll see how these block off plates work out

Block offs.

For who would like to know. just bought my wife a 09 fz6r and took the mirrors off. The block offs I made myself. I took an made a stencil out of cardboard. Then cut them out of aluminum. This way the were a perfect fit. Then i beveled the edges and in set the screws. They look good. I got to put a bar end on it. It didnt throw off your handling any did it? Because the sliders are weighted.

For my block off plates, I just used plexiglas and cut it to shape, drilled holes for panheads, sanded everything even and smoothe, then painted everything black. I may try something else in the future. :thumbup:

Perfect! I just like everyone sharing their ideas/mods for everyone to see. Plus, I'm a much visual person and wanted to see your handiwork close-up. That's what has made this forum roll and given people other ideas, especially since our aftermarket support is still in progress. Thanks jspansel.
