I'm sad to hear you are hurt and the bike has damage. I hope you heal real well. Take it easy.
I will start calling my insurance co. Looks like is gonna be pretty expensive.picked her up today some pics any one got an idea where i can start rebuilding her
I'd say start with have the triple tree checked to make sure it's still in spec. (correct angle, frame not smashed in etc..) Definitely looks like you need new forks...picked her up today some pics any one got an idea where i can start rebuilding her
I hate to say it but looking at the front end, I think Nasty is right.. Most things LOOK cosmetic, but insurance would replace them too. Gas tank you would be looking at probably over $500. Any side fairing issue $300 each about, Front fairing $500. Those Forks look pretty wicked and can imagine they will not be cheap. Then you DEFINATELY want to have the full frame looked at.Dude. Glad you could walk away from that. I hope you had insurance, because I have a sneaking suspicion that bike is totaled. If the frame is bent or cracked, that's it for it. If not, the front end alone is going to set you back quite a bit, not to mention all the other items, like the tank.
Speaking of the tank, you must have balls of solid brass to do that to the tank and not be singing soprano. Impressive. Most impressive.
Did you trade insurance info with the driver that stopped short? Is there enough culpability on their end to have their insurance cover it?Was probably goingbaround 45 not to sure happened so fast don't remember much really
Agreed, I think I pay $38 month for full coverage with Progressive. Liability only would be $75/year.wtf is wrong with people and not having insurance, yeah its cheaper but if you cant afford to pay for full coverage insurance on something brand new....dont buy it unless you have the money to buy two of em, so when you total the first you just go buy a second one.....and if your that well off youd value your $ and put full coverage on it in the first place. I had full coverage on a 1982 Seca....cmon man.....
Im sorry, Im glad your okay but DUDE I hope you learned your lesson with insurance. I just dont get it.
