Took the bike down to Covina (about 60-65 mile trip from where I live) and met a subscriber who also rides a 6R. Twas quite an awesome experience. Got about a good 125 miles on her and it was good to get out of my hometown for a bit.

Picked up the bike from my shop. 3 days without it sucked but the ride home was epic.

That's been SOP around me for the last week. I finally got out last night and dodged some rain cells. Roads were a little damp, and the smell mold was thick in the air. For some reason, it took an hour and a half to get to the grocery store and it's only 4 miles away!!
Been that way at home in PA as well. I'm in ocmd at it's beautiful here and only 3 hours away from home.

Went to my dealer yesterday where I purchased the 6R. Talked to one of the owners family guys that works there. He set me up to test ride of the bikes that I am most interested in trying to upgrade this coming winter or early next year if can.
2013 models:
Thursday 7/25 Kawasaki Ninja 1000
Saturday 7/27 Kawasaki Concours 14 & Yamaha FJR1300A
I inquired about the FZ1, and he said he would if he could, BUT, they haven't carried one in about a year or so. Last one they had sat for about 2 years. I did however find a new FZ1 at the dealer in the city I grew up in. They will let me test ride it also. Just need to call them a few days in advance to have the day arranged.
FYI that I found out from one of the dealers. I don't know if Kawasaki does this or if my dealer is just being good to me as a repeat customer. Yamaha credits the dealers for test rides. They take a bike from their stock and use it as a demo bike. Then when that bike gets either 1k or 2k miles on it, they get a rebated credit from the MFR and then can sell that bike as used but still basically (in the end) get full value for that bike.

I went riding with Leem00 yesterday and today
Flogged her for 150 miles. I've been sick the last few days. Got up this morning, wasn't planning on riding, but I felt pretty good. (I love Azithromycin! 
) I started watching MotoGP and just had to go ride. 
I didn't really push it, just kind of cruised. I could tell when I got home a few hours later that I still wasn't feeling 100% and I'm about wiped out now. But watching MotoGP, Moto2, and all 4 AMA races is making me feel a bit better. lol
Got this from this morning.
I actually was going to Email Doug, the photog out there, about trying to switch things up a little. Different angles, even different turns, etc... 90% of the pictures he takes all look the same. I haven't bought one from him in months because they all look alike.

Lol I've commented to you on youtube before that we've gotta ride soon. Had I known you were in my area, I would have asked if you wound mind an extra pair of wheels there. I still count as a 6R owner...even though I sold mine a few months back?

They do make block offs for the mirrors. Not sure who makes them, but you should find them by searching mirror block offs.

First day of the "going to take the bike to work all week because it's finally sunny" -week. And it was almost too hot riding back home... Mesh is good but can't fix everything.
At least I wasn't in the same group as the 3 cruiser riders passing me today, 2 guys shirtless and a woman in a t-shirt... I'll take the sweat over road rash any day... And bugs! Those things must hurt!

just drove past a guy in shorts & tee on a cruiser -except it is is only 14C!!!! (57.2F)

I got hammered by a bug the last week right in the middle of the visor. If I didn't wear a helmet that thing would have probably knock me out! LOL
Very tempting to ride 1/2 naked here in Florida at this time of the year... but just can't convince myself. Not the way people drive cages around here. Any days can be the day...

So true, this time of year is just nasty down here. I was riding the other night and I don't even know how many saltwater mosquitoes I had to wash off my visor like a champ and it took me some time to clean the bike as well.
I got nailed with a big one right in the shoulder the other night, that thing stung like a champ for while, felt like I got hit with a paintball.

Out in Southern California we get these big beetles that fly around, not to mention the huge moths we get as well. Had to pull over and wipe off my visor to get he dust from the moth off it! Got to my work, and used to watered down window cleaner to get the rest of the gunk off. Moths are not fun wheh they hit your bike and helmet.
