Ha ha, don't be jealous. This is our first vacation since our honeymoon which our parents helped pay for as a wedding present nearly three years ago. We're due.
I'd like to get the R version of the Striple which has the Ohlins, but my dealer can't get one this year. So I'll "settle" for the regular Striple, or maybe the 2011 Daytona they have on the floor if they make me a good enough offer.
are their any other dealers that CAN get you it in your area? Why dont you buy one and have it freighted in? Just trying other options so your happy with the bike you get not settling.
No other dealers in the state, and I'm not willing to pay a dealer down south extra to ship it up special. If I get a regular Street Triple (no R) it'll have to be ordered and shipped through my local dealership anyway. And I'm not a good enough rider (yet) to probably be able to tell the difference in suspension between the two, and the brakes of the R spec are not a huge difference either. Plus I can get the non R version in black with black wheels. The R black version has gold rims (yuck), so to avoid that I'd have to either get purple (no thanks) or white, which is fine, but it's not as nice as black, IMO.
So basically, I'm not settling and would be happy with either or. Plus I'll save some money not getting the R version.
