Thinking about buying an FZ6R

Yea, I figured that he was. That's why I wanted to ask you guys...I will have to go sit on both again and test drive them to see...again, if anyone sat on the sv650f, do you think the pegs are farther back and a little more comfortable?

I think the question is: which bike has been sitting on the dealership floor longest?

Though I haven't ridden a SV650F, I have ridden the naked variant, the more popular SV650. It's a great bike: the transmission is butter smooth and gives great feedback, the clutch was super easy to modulate.

What did it for me on the FZ6R was the sound of an inline-4 at WOT with a pipe, plus the suspension seems a lot more buttoned down, out of the box.

Talk about instability is rubbish. I did feel a bit more buffeting before the accessory double bubble windscreen, but that's about it. Look at it this way; if it were an issue, there would be post upon post about it (such as the CBR1000RR engine oil issue), and if the issue was particularly bad, I'd expect a recall, or some sort of stop sale until the issue was fixed.

As others have said, feedback here will be undoubtedly biased, but if I were doing it again, I'd probably end up w/ the same bike.

I just purchased my 2011 FZ69 about a month ago, and am very happy with my decision. I rode a Harley Road King before this bike for three years. The road king was very disappointing. It would shake bolts loose even with the rubber mounted engine and felt dangerous over 80mph. I have a blast on this bike. It cost around 6750. 7800 out the door with all taxes and one year of plates and taxes. So far so good. Unless you drive like a bat out of **** all the time, this ride will keep you satisfied. Great value for the money and nice speed and handling. I have friends that have driven for 3 years with very little issues.
