Cool.. Glad to hear! Hope things stay that way for you.. Agreed.. a little OT is always better than PT job.. Not only easier to do that than coordinate schedules, but your main job usually pays a good amount more, but add on top of that the .5 extra for OT!........... Also easier come tax time - not as many W-2s

Exactly. Just hope I can keep it goin. Would be awesome. Only issue comes when there are holidays or I take a day off/PTO, etc Like next week we have Monday off. So no extra time will be overtime. Just standard pay. Still helps a lot though.

Have somewhat good news...

My work caught wind of me looking for a second job. They did not like it. Said when working two jobs, you are about 50% at both. SO.... they are offering me to work 1-2 hours overtime a day which is more than a 15 hour part time minimum wage job would pay! I am trying to get this into a permanent thing by taking on some tasks that we currently outsource. We have some PCBA boards built out of house that I will now do myself and that saves the company 50% on the cost of those boards. So its a + for both of us.

Trying to find other things like that here or take on extra tasks etc. Stuff that helps us both out. One of our customer service techs quit, he is also our IT guy. They are not replacing him. So I will try and take some of those responsibilities as well. May need to take a course at the Community College and get the basics of IT down to help them out.

We are developing a new product so that will take a lot of my time. They also want me to paint the back loading dock which will take at least a week itself.

So that will help a TON! An hour or two overtime is a blessing. Thinking about working 15 hour days was haunting me. And not seeing my family... Was not looking forward to doing that. I am grateful I work at such a great place. Very small, close knit company.

I'm glad that you were able to find a solution, nice from them to help you out also. Even if you don't do as much, you will save a lot in commute from your job to the other job.

That's the only thing that sucks with my 2nd part time job. The 150 miles round trip. They don't pay min. wage... so it easier to justify my travel expense.

Why do you think I made my Top box rack stronger? To carry my Pelican tool box. 45 lbs... It's pretty much a huge PC case.

I wish 50... Best I did in the last few months was 47 MPG (last weekend) with my latest Touring map. Usually I'm between 40-45.

But yep, regardless using the 6R for commuting is my best option!
