Am I correct in thinking that the larger diameter/ higher tooth count sprockets should last longer? Seems like you are spreading the load out over more teeth.
You are right. Going to a bigger sprocket is easier on the chain and distribute the load on a larger surface. This is why is better to go with a bigger rear sprocket than a smaller front. In my case... +/- 2 tooth on the rear is not where the issue was. 1- Aluminum sprocket have the advantage of being light but doesn't last as long. 2- I did order the wrong one last time
By the way, Indysuperbikes rep just called... f*&^ 3 week back order on the sprocket that I want! CC did you get the last one... or you're stuck too? I told him to find one in steel... we'll see. I'll be installing my 46T until then before my chain get all screw up.
