1. At what speed can you SAFELY downshift into first gear when coming to a normal stop? To clarify: this is without letting out the clutch to actually engage first gear, but rather this purpose is just to get the bike into first for the take off. Will I cause any premature wear or damage if I shift into first gear before I'm fully stopped like some other cars and transmissions? I noticed yesterday on my maiden voyage that if I waited until I was stopped before shifting that many times the trans/clutch were "locked" and I couldn't get past 2nd into neutral let alone first unless I rocked the bike back and forth to "unlock" and release the gears to allow me to shift into first.
2. If you use a GoPro sticky mount on the gas tank, will it damage the paint or top finish?
3. Why are so many car drivers idiots?
4. Why do cars try to pull out and jump out in front of you EVEN WHEN THEY SEE YOU COMING and then try to speed away?!?!
5. Instead of a double-0 "License To Kill", can I have a license to bitch slap stupid drivers instead?
6. What's the seasonal bag limit for stupid driver mirror souvenir keepsakes?
7. How long does your standard battery last in your GoPro Hero3 Black Edition?
8. What video rez setting or combo do you use to record your moto adventures to obtain the optimal balance between rez quality and battery life?
9. When filling up at a gas station, ever notice that guys shake the nozzle before replacing the nozzle back onto the receiver, but gals just pull it out and hang it up?
10. Can you quickly blip rev match downshift with the STOCK clutch lever? Or do you need some kind of aftermarket lever with a shorter stroke?
11. Do the air vents on the top of the RF1100 actually channel air to cool or head? Or just make a lot of extra noise?
12. Does the TBR exhaust system get tiresome on long drives or commutes? Sounds so good, but worried that it would get annoying after a long commute every day, day after day...
13. Is there a major difference in sound or exhaust note between the different TBR systems: black, carbon, titanium, aluminiumiumiummmm?
14. Is the juice box, for all intents and purposes, basically a "must have" when getting a TBR?
15. (Is the TBR even legal in the People's Demokratic Republik of Kalifornistan? I'm reading different things on the TBR FAQ vs. elsewhere on the intarwebs.)
16. Anyone else have issues with Shogun right side engine mount bolt being too long and bottoming out? Or with the threads not turned far enough up the shaft closer to the socket head causing a different type of bottoming out?
17. Do your knuckles get sore after riding for half a day? (First two fingers on clutch hand and ditto first two knuckles on gas hand.)
18. When applying reflective or glow-in-the-dark rim tape, do you need to somehow remove the factory stripe first? (Or can you just tape right over it without fear of bleed thru?)
19. How the heck do bugs get INSIDE your helmet visor if your visor is always shut tight? Chin vent?

1. I usually engine brake and once the rpms are down are 2-2.5k I down shift.

4. Lack of patience, in a hurry, no respect for life…I always say put cagers on a bike first then give them their car license…would open up a lot more respect, and maybe thin the heard.
7. depends on settings - I have a silver and mine will last on 1080 about 2 hours. Hense my 2 additional batteries.
8. see 7 30 frames per second... I turn off sound a lot to help.
9. yes, its to keep the drops from falling on the paint...especially on the bike.

14. no but you risk doing MAJOR (not yelling just emphasizing) damage to the engine by running to lean.

17 my hands were cramping as I came from the cruiser market with bigger grips... I added grip puppies that do help!

18. most stock bikes don't have wheel strips...I would peel the other ones off before applying new ones for fear they won't hold.

   I downshift down to first somewhere about 5-10 mph and just make sure that the clutch is all the way in.

   I figured these questions were all tied together so I grouped them as such. My personal believe is that the idiot car drivers are the ones that have never rode a motorcycle and don't understand what we have to do and go through to try to keep ourselves safe.

   I have the TBR Black Series Carbon Fiber and love the noise of it, whether I am on a long trip or just around town driving. I've done a 2 hour trip with it and it doesn't bother me, but being around cars my whole life including Route 66 Drag Strip, and Joliet Speedway (Nascar) loud exhaust doesn't bother me.

   I was told that it is "highly" recommended (or get a DynoJet Power Commander V) so that the engine runs smoother, more powerful, and more efficient. Don't want the engine to be running lean and damage valves.

Had the same problem with my shogun sliders as well, the right side bolt is too long, so I just used the bolt that was originally on the bike.

   Because they give pretty much anyone with a pulse a license in this country. I wish we'd follow most European countries in actually makeing sure you know how to drive before giving out licenses.

   Many times they don't actually see you. You might think they're looking right at you, but they're looking through you. You should always think that you're invisible. If you ride like that, you'll avoid soooo many nasty situations.

   Because we have lots of practice with the nozzle God gave us, and they don't.

   Either that or a PCV should be used if you'll be using the TBR long term.

   Pretty much every aftermarket exhaust for any bike always says that they are for track use only. No one seems to care, and cops almost never hassle riders unless they are way over revving the engine in areas they shouldn't.

    Are you sure you didn't swap the right side for the left side? I know one is longer than the other.

    Nope. You'll probably find you're useing all sorts of muscles you aren't used to using. If it's still a problem in a week or two, then you can be concerned.

    You could probably put the new ones on top of the ones already there as long as they're clean. It will probably help to have a guide for the new ones to follow. I have a How-To thread on installing rim stripes here on the forum too.

On rim tape, if its the factory installed rim stripes, like on my white 2012, then those are painted on. And yes its safe to install, just use rubbing alchohol and a soft rag to clean the area first.

17. Your knuckles might get sore due to gloves that are too tight. That was my problem with a previous set. The cloth/leather/whatnot would put pressure on the knuckles and eventually that turned to pain.
