One Year. 14,597 total miles. 1500 (rounded) aren't mine. I've changes the plugs twice, the tires twice. The oil, three times, I think. Once because I put old oil back in the crankcase, Doh!
My fuel economy has dropped a bit, I'm not sure if that's because I screwed up synching the jets or not. The chain hasn't stretched much, but definitely has some sticky links.
Since I'm looking at replacement anyway, I'm going to eat my own words and try some penetrating oil to unsticky those links. I know it's going to destroy the o-rings, but I'm looking at a chain replacement regardless.
Otherwise, in that year? I've bought some gear. Most recently some heated gloves. Damn if that doesn't make a difference on that cold commute home at night!
The bike? My Tora Tanshi? She honestly doesn't give a rip about much about anything. She really doesn't care, so long as she gets ridden. I honestly feel that I could run the plugs to flat, the battery dead, the oil to dry, and she'd just wink at me and ask if that's all I've got.
I want to run my twisties on my new tires. It's going to be too cold on my day off tomorrow. So I very much would like to give her a bath and clean and lube that frickin' chain.
It's such an amazing bike. The only other I've ever ridden or owned close to it would be my '82 Honda CB750C. That was a heck of a machine. You know I never named it...
Tora Tanshi. We're going to run the Dragon soon. There's not another bike I'd rather be on.
