Yep, this one:is that a tail bag on your pillion seat?
Great point. I saw a guy on highway 94 at the cafe stopped with a bloody knee and torn jeans because he didn't realize he was as close to dragging knee as he was. He left a nice layer of knee as well as his jeans on the road a few turns back. Not a pretty sight. So unless you're armored up underneath those pants, I'd suggest the same.just a word of caution from someone that's been there. had me a buell firebolt that i could ride the piss out off, and did a right hander without knee sliders and actually HAD to lean it over to make the corner. didn't hit the ground, but i did manage to catch that 2" rock that was in the 'perfect' spot.
tore the crap out of both my jeans and knee but thankfully didn't dump it. if you are trying to get down that far, get some sliders and leathers.
my issue has always been not being able to find leather pants that fit. i'm 6'4" and skinny and without going custom, store bought (online only too) is just too hard. i've had four pair none of which fit right. i've since given up.
Update. Touched the ground by footped.
while not necessary to actually touch your knee (google "knee dragging" ), the idea is to hang off the bike, moving your center of gravity to the inside of a turn, requiring less lean angle of the bike for a given turn, or allowing more speed at higher lean angles.shooot, I don't know how to do this leaning thing with knees almost touching the ground....What's the purpose of it anyway.....somebody teach me pls.
Like Don mentioned, using proper body positioning will allow you to maintain the same speed with less lean angle around the same corner which will give more grip. And that will enable you to cary more speed at the same lean angle in the corner. It's also a lot more stable.shooot, I don't know how to do this leaning thing with knees almost touching the ground....What's the purpose of it anyway.....somebody teach me pls.
