Yeah, I heard a guy painted over the redline on his bike and it disabled the limiter and he snapped a rod and got a piston right in the chin! Dangerous...

Just don't paint it green. You might hit Mach 4...

There is a limiter. With stock gearing, if you could get there it would hit around 141mph. If you regear the bike you could hit it. Be careful not to hit the limiter in first or second. The bike can easily slam you into the tank it your not expecting it.

The FZ6R engine is pretty flexible, I ride 5th-6th mostly on backroad carving, and seems like plenty of power even on tigher stuff with no hint of bogging.
Straights see 7-10K in 6th pretty regular; I call it a 100mph bike, gets there super easy, past that takes a bit longer. And, really, I am not really interested in top speeds anyway, the corners are where the fear and skills come into play.
