Power commander 5 pissing me off

Alright. Went for about a 25 mile ride. It did NOT die once. Thank god. It ran fine around 185-200 degrees. Seems to run good and strong. So it appears that the firmware download of 5 times or more did the trick. Anyway thanks for the help marthy and your map seems good. Still being nice to the bike. It is HARD.

Hmm, did you use the latest firmware off their website, or the one from marthy? I'm having your same problem but can't seem to get it to work...

Hey pal. I used the one from dynojet. It was newer then the one marthy had at the time. I had to do it many times for it to work. But now it is perfect. Just make sure you do it a bunch of times. When it works it will be a about a minute total. If it does not work it was done in like 20 seconds. It will also ask questions when it is working.

Man I'm literally out on it right now, updating the firmware over and over, I think i'm on number 10 or 12 by now. The update is always the same, it always says its completed successfully, and it always finishes in like 20 seconds. And it never works.....I guess I'll just give dynojet a call tomorrow.

Man thats strange. I did that a few times for me then it worked. Then i did it a few more times

If you can try a diff computer. I took my damn pcv off the bike and brought it into my desktop for it to work.

Whats this about it asking you questions if it's a proper firmware update? Mine is always super fast and never asks me anything.

okay i installed Power Commander V Firmware V0.1.6.11 a couple weekends ago and today finally had time to ride i downshifted and bike stalls im having stalling problems also when i rev in N...i went to Marthys website and says i dont have permissions...SOMEONE HELP

UPDATE tries it like 10x off the site and still dies when i pull the clutch in coming to a stop and when i rev past 2k......its official im PISSED

Maybe you're trying to install the Piss Off Firmware... Fware sent!

lol...well what ever you sent me worked like a charm. i haven't got to take it out as far as i did today i just know that when i engine brake and pull the clutch in....it doesn't stall anymore...nor when i rev

Here we go... saved the day again... LOL I tough you had the PCV long time ago. Which map are you using? Acc. Pump enable?

using the tbr map off the website...my PC was working then after i did the firmware update thats when i had this problem

PC feature on top, configure, acceleration pump, enable, 75%, 30rev, 16%

Those are the setting I have on my bike.

You should try the 6R Viper Advgear RevB. Touring RevB is the same... just a bit leaner under 20% throttle for better fuel economy. Play around with the acc. pump. It;s a great feature!

Add fuel for a split second on hard acceleration. Power wheely option...
Looking at the setting... With 75% throttle (to activate) PCV will shoot +16% fuel for 30 Rev. Doesn't sound like much... but thrust me! Those seting on a R1 will give you a one way ticket to the closes ER! But on the 6R, it get thing a bit more interesting. Go easy at first... get the feel of it! Oh, 7K rpm is the sweet spot to hammer it... :iconbeer:

Yes this is exactly what I'm currently using right now. Touring RevB and those Acc. pump setting. Work great!
