New rider here and i'm riding daily to commute. I live and work in the city but parking near midtown during the daytime is really difficult even for a bike. Most places in midtown manhattan are commercial vehicles/truck loading and unloading only from 7am-7pm. There are a few places where i see pockets of 5+ motorcycles parked. I havent noticed anything special on their license plates or any special stickers that allow parking. Is there some unwritten rule that allows bikes to park together in groups without being harrased/ticketed/towed by police? Also why don't most garages accept motorcycles? Any suggeations or tips on parking in the city where most signs say no parking/standing yet bikes are still parked there? Is there strength in numbers?
