whats the furthest you have ridden in a day? i know some of you, includes me most of the time, use your 6r for commuting. Today i went for a ride of 305 miles and i am absolutely sore. i stopped one place 1/2 way for about 3 hours.

so what have you done?

I put ~250 miles in one day last year. I haven't had the time to really get out and ride this year, so it has been mostly commuting to work and the occasional <100 mile weekend jaunt.

:hijack:
I will be up your way at the end of July for my brother's wedding, but unfortunately I won't have my bike. However, hopefully within the next 18 months, I will be moving back to central IL and may even get a position at UIUC.

Just shy of 500. Stop for gas and about an hour for lunch. Not really too sore at the end. Been riding longer distances like that and my body seems to be getting used to it.

800 miles. that is unreal.

About 30 miles in one day...on the FZ6R.

Just a commuter here...I rarely ride for leisure, and I've declined all recent invites to "go riding" since I'm still within the break in period and my colleagues won't be inclined to tolerate me keeping it below 65 (to keep it under 5800 rpm).

800 miles...ow. With zero stops, that would be 11 straight hours of riding at 73 mph...brutal.

Furthest I ever went in a day was about 200 (on my old Seca II)...I used to ride a lot more than I do now, and I can't remember if I've ever taken any rides longer than that. I am inclined to stop and camp or find a hotel on anything over 6-8 hours, even if I'm driving....I like to enjoy the ride, food, and the scenery.

Yeah, it sucked. Parham, Ontario to Madison, Wisconsin in a day. We hit Chicago about 9 or 10 PM in the rain.

Done over 500 in one day on the FZ6, haven't had the chance to go for an all day-er on the 6R yet. Longest single day so far has been just over 200, but it was 106 degrees outside so it felt like all day.

We rode 240 with a passenger, in the twisties of the Colorado mountains. We had to get off and stretch about once every 2 hours. My butt and back was sore for 2 additional days. I love this bike, but won't be doing any cross country adventures anytime soon...lol

Even as much as I enjoy riding, some of these posts make me hurt just reading them. Those are some tough rides.

For some reason, any trip over 200 miles for me means that the FZ6R is either trailered or left behind, and the top is pulled back on the jeep so I can burn me a farmer tan on the way.

Approximately 500 miles - Chicago - Columbus + a little riding in OH.
Complete the trip, took rest like 30 mins and went to ride again. I love this bike! :)

Typical mileage during weekend - 200-400 miles.
Workday - 3 miles to work + 20-40 miles "just for pleasure". :D

I regularly break 200 miles in a day on a good weekend. I am not exactly sure how far I have gone in one day. I don't pay attention to the mileage. As long as I am having fun I don't care how far I go :)

Nice little video!

I don't want to be a recliner QB, but it looked like you were tipping in too early for some of the curves. This caused you to readjust the trajectory around the apex, basically squaring it off. If you hesitate just a little longer before committing to your curves, you'll tip in later and have a much better line through the curve, allowing your speed to stay up. ;)

I can't wait until I move back to IL and get the chance to ride with some of my other FZ6R'ers!
