I also came from a GS500 (except mine was a 92 500E). I've met a lot of people (including 2 of my riding buddies) who have and love their 500s. Even though it's a great bike, the FZ6R is better is every single way (except it's a little heavier). You've probably already figured out that you chose an AWESOME new bike. Enjoy!
