MT-07 is coming

Yamaha just annonce the new MT-07. 698cc parallel twin naked ride.

74,8 ch, 68 Nm à 6 500 tr/min et un poids de 179 kg (poids à sec de 164 kg).

75HP / 50 ft.lb @ 394 lbs. That's a 6R with almost 80 less!!!!!!!!! That's going to be a killer!

I think those gold forks look nasty lol, sorry Marty. but im not sure why they did that, to match the street triple? their the rims and everything are gold too so it doesn't look too bad. The gold and blue/red not so good. I think there must have been a sale on gold paint or something.

I love naked bikes. I love full fairing bikes. What I HATE are half fairing bikes. (Sorry to any FZ1 owners ) Either be a naked bike or be full fairing. But just a top fairing is Fugley.

This bike in particular, I'm not that impressed. I like the FZ09 much better. But I really love bikes like the Monster, Streetfighter, CB1000r, etc... They're like a sportbike and a cafe racer had a baby. Lol

As for the gold forks, Öhlins makes their fork legs gold. The color is associated in the racing world with the highest of high performance suspension. Other companies emulate the color to make you associate their bike with high performance even if they don't have Öhlins forks. It's all about marketing and association. Nothing to do with the color matching or aesthetics really.

However The new Honda IS getting Öhlins suspension on it.

its cheap aswell, $11K ride away...pretty impressive price point for a 800 triple!

I love the nakeds, but... I ride on the hwy's alot so a naked wont really suite me

I'm with jon on this one. Not a fan of half fairing bikes. But naked, nothing better than riding a naked girl mean motorcycle.

Agree. I have some SV650 friends and the half fairing bothers me. I love the look and feel of naked bikes until you get on the highway for more than 10 or 15 minutes, then I remember why I got my FZ6R. Makes me think an upgrade for me would have to be something like the Ninja 1000 because of the fairings, even though I'd love a street triple.
