Hey Everyone,

I did update the How to for the DIY kit and this is valid also for the normal exhaust upgrade. The Danmoto slip-on need the exhaust strap to be attach If not the slip-on might break under vibration. The How to explain briefly how to hook up the strap to the OEM exhaust hanger.

I was gojng to give it few weeks, a month max. I will keep bumping it. Lets say Aug 15th to give time to everyone.

Not sure how long I will do the regular exhaust mod. I think I did 3 or 4 this year, all others were DIY kit.

R6 Header

Hey Marthy

Would the Danmoto muffler fit an '02 R6 header? It seems the '06 OEM slip-on is a little loud for my neighbors when I leave at 0600. How much for the muffler and strap so I can mount to the header? Would a mid-pipe be needed or running right off the header be OK?

The slip-on inside diameter is 2.000" measure yours. $200.00 + shipping. If you have someone who can weld I can give you a piece of 2" pipe.

Mine is 1 3/4" outside diameter so I'd need a reducer or an adapter.

I'll see if I can find someone to weld it.

Are you including the strap and db killer as well?

I'm hoping this will be a much quieter option since I apparently woke the kids up when I left the morning and the 2 year old was giving my wife hell all morning.

Only 5 Danmoto left! I ran out of DIY adapter since a few of you only got the adapter but I have some material in order and should have another batch of 10 ready by the end of next week.

In the mean time some of you are aware of the year has been quite busy for me on many different levels. Most good but some not so good. Combine that with a lot of work, side work (3 racecar rebulit... and still working on the last one), exhaust building and R&D on the FZ09, customer services... list goes on. Some time a man need to listen to the "signs"... need a little break. Wiffy went through some life changing event too and taking care of her has been a lot of work too, but she's doing much better now... and she will be graduating school in 1 month from now!

So like I said... there's 5 left and I will have few DIY adapter in spare. I will be taking a little break for the rest of the year afterward. I greatly need to recharge the battery and start taking better care of myself, like going to the gym more than twice a month!

I learned the hard way to take a break too. I used to never say no to other people when they needed help... BUT you need to take care of yourself FIRST. Can't help other people if you're sick or injured. Enjoy the rest, you've earned it!!

For sure Marthy you need to think of you and yours first. You have helped many people in many ways! I think I speak for everyone when I say we greatly appreciate everything you have done. There are not many people in this world who would do so much for someone whom they have never met. I personally say thank you for all the help you have given me. Take your break and enjoy every minute of it!!
