It's my money, who cares what it's for!

None of your f#@King business, would be my answer if I was taking MY money out. I have not done business with any banks,Major ones being the worst, in years. I deal with Credit Unions and there are many advantages to them. Too many for me to list, but most impotent to me is good service and I mean excellent service. Those sob banks make up so many rules they can't even keep all their lies straight. Hate them!

I agree that Credit unions are a very nice and awesome resource but the problem with most credit unions is having access to locations to deposit funds as well as to be able to withdraw funds as well. I am a member of several credit unions and hold a couple or more accounts at each of them (savings, investing and so on). While I enjoy the services that they offer I can't really use any of them for checking because of the lack of accessibility to them as they have no locations near enough to me. So I am forced to use a larger bank just for checking. Certainly not for anything else though.

Once my checking account reaches a certain point I'm actually able to transfer funds with my phone to my other bank accounts with the credit unions but I can't do it the other way around as they don't have such nice features.

So once my money is there it's kind of stuck there, though all I have to do is call them up and they will transfer any money that I have put into my savings right into my investment accounts pretty quick. They are awesome when it comes to investing at many of the credit unions.

Your post doesn't make sense. Why do you need to be NEAR a bank for checking? Our credit union is in MA and we live in VA. With direct deposit and ATMs, being near a bank shouldn't matter. That being said, we have a local bank for cash transactions.

Because when I need to make deposits it makes life a lot easier. I don't want to have to drive 40+ minutes to make a deposit into that account, that just doesn't make sense.

I can appreciate that if you are mainly dealing in cash.
