My mom has worked for Kaiser for the last 25 years and currently I have 5 relatives (including my wife) who work there, 2 aunts who recently retired from there, and 2 cousins who used to work there. It's a great company. A lot of people bitch about it, but they're usually people who've never had anything else and had to experienced the bureaucratic BS of most other medical insurance companies. Blue Cross damn near killed me because they wouldn't let my Dr. do a freaking blood test. As soon as Kristen got her job at Kaiser they did full blood work and everything that needed to be done and quite literally saved my life.

First day at a new job tomorrow. I'm so stoked to be back working again. I was getting bored being a house wife. Gotta be at the pick up point for the shuttle for our orientation in Pasadena at 5:30AM. So I'm off to bed. Wish me luck.

Thanks guys. Long damn day. Bus left at 5:30AM to go to Pasadena for orientation. Left Pasadena at 3:00 and got back to the HR office at 6:00. Mainly just an intro to the company and a history of it. There were 250 new hires there. Apparently they do these at least once or twice a month for all of Southern California. They're not always quite as big as that, but they're always hiring. So if you're in SoCal and you need a job, get on the Kaiser website and start looking at the job board.
