The key word is QUICKLY. If you ride it fairly tame, you won't get any gurgling. When I'm passing people I know or trying to make sure traffic hears/sees me, I drop a gear or two, WOT the thing anywhere from 7-10k, then slam the throttle shut. Beautiful noises to me, but I'm a gearhead!yes, you will still get some gurgling when you decel quickly. It's an open exhaust and there's really no way to get rid of it. My truck with flowmasters gurgles on decel and I love it. What map are you running? I've heard stock TBR maps are not as bad. Marthy's maps are tailored for performance. The block off will get rid of any popping under normal decel though. An open exhaust with no block offs will pop alot.

I ride with the DBKiller. It sounds amazing without it, but it's too loud for my neighborhood and stop-and-go traffic gives me a headache. I do take it out occasionally for weekend rides tho, but as a daily it's too loud imo.Oh, I agree completely. I love the sound that comes from my Viper. I wouldn't want to quiet her one bit. Well for inspection maybe. LOL!
Not sure the 18 gauge wire can wire to the PCV. Might be too thick. Not sure if there are other factors which limit it to 22-24 gauge.Quick question, the instructions for the speed sensor wire say 22-24 gauge wire. has anyone had any experience with using different gauge wire, or is it even possible to use a different gauge? good bad, or only the specific ones in the instructions. ive bought some t-tap connectors but am just having trouble locating 22-24 gauge wire at the moment. ive got some 18 gauge lying around just trying to see what my options are.
I would think, if anything, bigger is safer and less likely to break. I think I used 18 gauge myself. Not sure the 18 gauge wire can wire to the PCV. Might be too thick. Not sure if there are other factors which limit it to 22-24 gauge.
Which map do you have loaded on your PCV? The only one that uses the speed sensor is adv gear maps.okay, installed the wire. rode around abit bikes still functioning as per normal, is there anyway to tell for sure that the pcv is reading the input for the speed sensor and ive been riding for a while now without it, is there a discernible difference i should notice with it on?
If you're 100% sure the PCV is powering on and working correctly you can put it on a rear stand, hook the PCV to your laptop to view the gears changing while bike is running. If the speed sensor is hooked up you should see the information displayed on the screen. It's the only way I can think to check 100%.Its the adv gear rev map. which ever one was recommended. The bike is riding well, i havent noticed any issues at all, ive tried getting on the throttle a bit here and there and it still feels about the same. Was just curious at all if anyone has had prolonged experience without the sensor then placed it on there. i do not have the accelerator pump engaged.
Ok a little confused but I want to make sure I've got this right. MistahT's video shows this as the speed wireView attachment 32337a all pink wire
Then jt's vid shows thisView attachment 32338a pink and green wire
Any thoughts

Mine was pink. I believe it's the only harness under the tank with 3 wires. They're covered by black sheathing. Maybe for some reason some model years used solid pink and others used pink and another color.
The one jet showed was a plug up by the air box. I did go with the one in the black cover. Thanks bro.

No need if running TBR map. Adv Gear Rev B map is way better then TBR's stock maps. It literally takes an extra minute or so to hook up the speed sensor wire as long as you have a piece of wire around and a tap. You can download it for free and keep both maps loaded on the PCV. Only way you'll be able to switch though is with your laptop unless you hook up a map switch.Okay, I'm bringing up an old thread! I just got the power commander and I read the instructions a few times, all seems simple. And I thought let me see if there is a youtube video that shows how it is... So I found MistahT's PC5 install and I now wonder if the speed sensor wire should or doesn't matter if I install it. I am using the map from dynojet with the TBR exhaust. I read through the thread and said only for adv gear mapping. But how do I know if the dynojet maps have that!? or should I go ahead and install for shits and giggles?
