Do it. :sinister:I would honestly pass everything up for a street triple though. But that is not within my means unless I sold the Fizzer.
The FZ6R was my first street bike, I crammed in 8,000 miles seat time in 6 months to get my feet wet, I loved that bike and was sad when I traded her in. But, I wanted a 600SS all along, and went the prudent route and 'trained' on the more appropriate FZ6R. I didn't have any particular 6month agenda, but I knew I was ready to move up, I stopped by a couple of shops and next thing ya know I had swapped bikes (traded in the FZ6R for what I owed on it).Sort've hate and love the bike at the same time. Hate it mainly for aesthetic reasons, and love it due to its comfort. Only bought it since everyone was begging me not to get a gsxr 1000 or an r1. Im a beginner, and I suppose for a first bike it was an ok choice. Still cant wait for a gsxr one day..
Dude your absolutely right, 750 might suit me a bit more then a liter bike. And like you, definitely not on agenda to get rid of it, but tune my skills a bit I guess. Only have 1000 miles on mine since yesterday. It is a fun bike just pisses me off sometimes when I look at it and doesn't look aggressive. Worst part is I'm 6'4 250's so I sortve look like a gorilla humping a football lol. But I look pretty decent on a gsxr lol.The FZ6R was my first street bike, I crammed in 8,000 miles seat time in 6 months to get my feet wet, I loved that bike and was sad when I traded her in. Just ride the piss out of the FZ6R, then when you can honestly say you are using all of its power on a regular basis, then start shopping around, but I would go 600 or 750 gixxer next, a 1K gixxer is a pretty big step up.
Dave, if you want a more aggressive look out of the 6R, just drop the forks and put some clip ons on it. Boom; problem solved.Dude your absolutely right, 750 might suit me a bit more then a liter bike. And like you, definitely not on agenda to get rid of it, but tune my skills a bit I guess. Clip ons? Sorry to sound noobish lolDave, if you want a more aggressive look out of the 6R, just drop the forks and put some clip ons on it. Boom; problem solved.
Thanks that looks bad ass! Here's one of several threads about them:

Sort of hard to answer because I don't even have it yet, but part of the reason I'm looking at it is that it's a bike I suspect I would not want to replace anytime soon, unless there's a major change in my life*.I've had my 09 new since October 2010 - just rolled over 10,000 miles today. After I pay off my truck I'll start looking for a Ninja 1000 but until then the FZ6R is just fine.
:liar:No plans to upgrade... This little machine tears it up in the twisties and is comfy for commuting. I'm sold. Been with her for 2 years.

You new to riding or just out of a bike atm?Sort of hard to answer because I don't even have it yet, but part of the reason I'm looking at it is that it's a bike I suspect I would not want to replace anytime soon, unless there's a major change in my life*.
Unlike some here, I'm not looking for it to be an "entry" supersport. I have no real desire to ride MotoGP style, to ride the track (except as a skill-honing exercise) or to go at insane rates of speed. Looking at it as a bike I could use for everything from around-town commuting to moderate-distance touring and just about everything in between, while still being reasonably economical to operate, maintain and insure. And yeah, if there's some extra fun to be had that's cool, but real high performance riding isn't my thing and isn't going to be at this point in my life. Quite happy to get there a few minutes behind everybody else and enjoy the ride.
So, truthfully, can't see a whole lot of bikes that would do all of the above all that much better given my current circumstances.
No plans to upgrade, unless a killer deal on a ZX6R comes along... This little machine tears it up in the twisties and is comfy for commuting. It's sold. Was with her for 2 years.
