GOPRO HD Hero2 Professional

warning... with suction cup....

So went on a trip this weekend. I thought to my self why waste battery on sreight freeway travel Ill just drop it in holder / case when I hit the twisites.... well when I get a the gas station before I hit the twisties it was no londer there.... :soapbox::soapbox::soapbox::soapbox::soapbox::soapbox::soapbox:

I did what I uslay do when I mount it it pull it pretty hard in every which wat to make sure it does not budge... lucky-ly camera was not in case. just lost the case and suction cup mount.

That sucks man. At least it wasn't the camera as well. Where did you have it mounted at? When I use the suction cup I always teather a string to the camera and either back to me or tie it to something on the bike just incase. Also it helps if you clean the area where you stick the suction cup at for better hold.

The only time I suctioned mine, was to the gas tank... Never went anywhere from there (and I'd see if it did). Now, it's a U-bar mount from RAM, only. Works great, allows me to move it in different directions with the long arm (center picture):

Can't go anywhere...

Sorry to hear 'bout the suction... relatively cheap lesson...

Be careful with keeping the camera outside of the case. The lens is really easy to scratch. I had to return the first one I purchased because of a scratch.

If you are feeling adventurous, try messing around with the time lapse feature. I made a few pretty good videos (non motorcycling though) this way.

I've got a couple of RAM mounts, one on my triple tree nut I use for my Nexus 7, and a handlebar one as well that I'm thinking of using for my Hero 2. What do you use to connect the Hero to the RAM mount?

Here's the whole setup... pretty versatile:

It is nice that Ram now has a GoPro mount...they didn't before you had to do this:

Absolutely correct, which is how I actually have mine (ordered long before the new GoPro-specific ball mount was offered at RAM-Mount).
