Gas tank help

Care to share with the class? Someone else might find this useful.
Sure thing, they have some sticky adhesive behind them. I just wedged a putty knife behind it and the tank and worked it off. Be careful not to pull to hard or you may break the panel.

I always just plastidipped around mine. Are you saying the only way to put them back on is glue?
I'm not sure really how to put them back on. I took off all the tacky tape stuff. Maybe some Goop will work. I took my tank down to bare metal to re paint it. I know I didn't have to, I just like starting from scratch. The panels are now carbon fiber.

Put them back on with double sided tape, like 3M. You can also take them off like you would take a badge off a car, with fishing line.

Found out the hard way. DO NOT USE GOOP!!!! :facepalm:
Get the OEM tank tape and you are good to go.
