So when I took everything apart for paint, I baggied and labeled everything that I took off. Was putting everything back together last night and of course, I think I lost a nut. I know damn well I lost my mind for wanting to paint my bike but that's besides the point. For the bolts that go in...
Hi guys, I'm going to change the oil and replace the drain bolt and washer.
The washer it has some kind of step in one side, and the other side is flat. (photos). What side of the washer is facing the cranckcase cover?
Thanks a lot!
Put smaller blinkers on few years back and they only had two wires so the running light side of the blinkers did not work (need 3 wires), so came up with and idea as to what to do with the other wire. Bought some Eagle Eye LED lights and mounted them in the side faux vents.
Bought factory style...
So ,
I wanted to tighten up my chain, it has a little sag in it. just enough to extend the wheel to that next line i think. When I went to get a ratchet head for it i noticed the oddest thing.
first the chain side bolt was bigger than the right side bolt./nut whatever. so much so that i...
Was replacing some stripped bolts on the right side engine casing and noticed that there is oil on the threads. The oil is black and looks a bit gritty, more like grease than leaking engine oil. Is this normal or should I have the mechanic look at it? Has anyone who has installed the R&G engine...
As all we know our FZ6R engine shares the basic design of the engine from the FZ6 and the R6 (2003), but I noticed that the clutch rod actuator is located in different position in the three models. In the R6 is in the right side facing downward, In the FZ6 is in the right side facing upward, and...
Gas tank side panels?
Broke one of the gas tank side panels was wondering if the tank would look goofy with out them but I found a almost new pair on ebay for $39.00 so thanks and never mind. this thread can be deleted sorry for the trouble.
Hey All
I did a search but I didn't find anything definitive on this so please bear with me if I'm being repetitive.
I'm getting a little tired of tip-toeing at every stop light plus I hate the fact that it's difficult to push backwards when I'm on the bike trying to back out of a spot so...
I'm wondering if I make my own block off plates is it necessary to have the small cut out section on the back side of them or is that more to save weight?
I installed some new grips, heated so I didn't buy any "grip glue" from the internet that might need to be cut off or destroy them. Anyway, I used some hairspray. Throttle side seems good, but my clutch side rotates fairly easily.
What are you guys using? Anything that is strong but removable?
went outside the morning after new years to see my bike laid over. had it chained up so not sure if someone tried to take it or just neighborhood kids playing on new years. but one of my mirror nuts is missing and i've heard rattling every since. not sure if its from that. because i hear the...

Hi All,
I sold my FZ6R some time ago and kept the luggage thinking I would use it on the new steed.
Then I ended up with an RC8 and the cases and racks are not needed and the garage needs a clean out.
I have for sale located in Sydney (Aus)
SW-Motech Top Rack and Givi mounting plate...
Want better handling? Buy some good boots :P
I lashed out on some second hand SIDI's the other day, heck you feel more comfortable resting wait on either side of the bike through a corner, There is more grip on the pegs, and you feel more secure with your leg floating over the side of the...
