Mr. Pulp, I could be wrong but I think that on the FZ6R it is mainly for looks although it could help I suppose. Some here have had it done. It adds a little flare to the bikes looks I think.
Have you been getting a lot of Mud & Rain on yourself riding the FZ6R? If so maybe you could do a review on the Dual Sport capabilities of the FZ6R lol.

Negative, it's only there for looks. Doesn't cover the part of the tire that actually sprays you. They do look good though. Leave the stock fender if you want to prevent back spray. Personally I prefer my fender eliminator and just don't ride in the rain unless I absolutely have to.
There is a member on here who created a mud guard that he attached to his chain guard. It was small and hovered over the back side of the tire at just the right spot to block the water.
I'm sure there are ways. The stock fender works great, it just looks like hell. LOL!

Sucks. I wanted to get a tire hugger as well since they look cool and I thought they did the same job the fender did, but it doesn't Trade off for cooler looking bike I guess. :wtfgun:

i have one and it still sprays. i had a guy tell me that it is good for performance because it reduces air turbulence from the tread of the tire.
