First gear "lurch"

Anyone else notice their bike lurch forward a bit when shifted into first from neutral? I see this on every cold start in my garage. I start the bike in neutral, let it idle a couple minutes while I get my gear on, then shift into first. It pops into gear with lurch of maybe an inch or so. My garage is on a pitched slab, so I'm wondering if it has to do with it being pointed downhill and just wanting to roll that way? I don't really notice this while out riding, but I usually shift all the way down to first while coming to a stop.

This is my first bike, so I have no other experience to draw from.

Thanks.

Its normal. Mine does it also. Cold oil makes the clunk more noticeable. It might be easier with synthetic Amsoil but that might also be in my head LOL...nothing to worry about...
