Exhaust install

Very NICE! Hope you will have pics or a video for the install. Good luck!

done - took 3 hours for the install and juice box.

Sounds great - moderate popping but it is not too bad.

Amazing difference in power and power delivery. Much more than I expected. Good mod. Happy that I did it. Here are a few pics.

NSFW! Pornography for the eyes!

In the end where did you mount the Juice Box? I'm still looking for ideas as my HID ballasts are taking up the steering near the forks.

I mounted it under the rear seat but may move it to the front left upper fairing.

I kind of want to mount it on the dash as that "for race use only" is pretty neat if someone who doesn't have knowledge of bikes sees it... I'll be one of the coolest kids on the block. :Sport::Sport:

Only problem is that the dash has some ridges and bumps, not a flat surface.

Looks great! I really want to order one now!

Good job on the install ladies! bikerMommy, is the can really as short as it looks in the pic? Maybe it's just the angle at which it was taken but to me it seems short. I have a carbon fiber one as well (in pic) so I was just curious.

Nah, it's the same length. It's just the angle I mounted it. I liked the longer part of the can at the top instead of the inside, but when I reviewed the pics I realized how short it made it seem. I don't like that it looks short, so I'm going to loosen the x-ring and rotate it this afternoon. But the 2bros looks good anyway you mount it!

Ah got ya. +1 it does look good every which way it can be on the bike!

I angled the exhaust back to the way it was intended, I think it looks a little better this way.

Very nice jobs and good looking bikes.

Bikegirl, how are you liking the new exhaust? Had any time to put some miles on it?

I have put approximately 2000 km on the new exhaust. While I forget how the bike used to perform, I am pleased with the current performance level of the bike. The exhaust note is pleasing as well.

Although an expensive upgrade, I am happy that I did this.

When I rode cruisers (which fiance keeps saying I should buy another cruiser, I like what I have though) I used to love the decel popping. Last bike was vtx1300c that I put cobra lowboy staggereds on with no baffles which I could control if late at night or early in morning or in residential area could keep fairly quiet but gunning it could wake the dead and set off car alarms. That's really only thing I miss about a v-twin is the sound. The inline 4 purrs like a kitten stock and find I like stock sound much better than the high pitch whine of alot of gixxers and cbr's I hear alot. Really loud on a sportbike just sounds kinda obnoxious to me unlike really loud on cruisers. I would like SOME more sound though from the FZ6R because TOO quiet feels dangerous to me. I want the women (and some men) that one hand is fused to thier cell phone and ear to know I'm around before they cut me off:mad:.

For those wondering about the springs... the instructions are from their first-generation exhaust systems, where the headers came in separate pipes. TBR has now been welding the headers to make it one piece, so the references to the springs are obsolete.

Having said that, I absolutely love my TBR exhaust. Sounds perfect now that it's properly broken in. Boy, those first couple hundred miles were LOUD, even with the silencer in!

I am thinking of putting on a new exhaust too on my 6R. However I have read here that some people find the T.B.R. exhaust quite loud. if you did find it loud did you add the silencer to the pipe? If so did it make a difference? Thanks to all. Laurie P
