Creepy track location....

I figured posting this in the Racing Forum was probably most appropriate...

Anyway, I was looking at the satellite image of the Autobahn Country Club track in Joliet, IL and was a little creeped out by what I found within the boundaries of the track. Take a look at the pic!

Is that some sort of omen, or just a poor choice for a location?! :eek:

Been there before... yep, it's in the middle of nowhere West of Chicago on I-55. Not too far from Chicago Speedway. Decent facility, very bumpy track if I can remember. Like it says, it's a country club. So it's for people with big $$$ to go beat up there expensive car in the Chicago area. There's worst! Never been to Buttonwollow, CA? Right off I-5. The only thing around is a truck stop with a few hotels and fast-food joint.

The good thing about being in the middle of nowhere... no noise restriction!

hey, I worked all afternoon on that too... :)

that's actually water from one of my last escapades... then a bit of PSP work to get it all tied in... I tried Beavis in there, but wife said it was getting crowded.... too many big heads in the pic... lol

edit* oh, I see :)admin:) he copied my sig pic url a long time ago with the ban stick inc.

Hey, look at the bright side, this fall when your moving back here, that's going to be the track we gonna spend most of the track days :)) Learn to love it !:))

That's where I been last Friday on a track day, the North Course of Autobahn CC:).

I think you were hot-linking the URL of darts ban stick image, but he used that same file to make his new sig... So when he rehosted it, it copied to your name as well since you had the same url...? funny. Dart could have put some wierd shit in there and everyone would think it was YOU haha :D

Lol funny but no. I'm hosting my sig off my server after editing it the way I wanted so I'm not sure what is going on but it'll wait until Sunday evening.
