Buying a new phone???

I can only suggest to you that you buy the new Samsung galaxy s3 it is a freaking amazing phone so here's the story yesterday I woke up in the morning in my nephew wanted to go swimming so being the nice guy that I am I dove in the pool with them I was in there for about 10 to 15 minutes got out and realized my phone was in my pocket on the entire time submerged under water I quickly took the battery out went home and took it apart air hosed it out poured rubbing alcohol in it air hose get out again poured more rubbing alcohol in it and hosed it one last time and it booted up and works perfectly fine as normal I paid 200 for it brand new with the contract but it is a 650 dollar phone and it is well worth it it is by far 1 of the best phones on the market in my opinion. Once again samsung never fails to impress m e!!!

thats the phone I've been eyeing for the last month. Stupid reason I know, but I've been waiting to get it once the otterbox case I want comes out (still on back order).

As big as the s3 is, I was worried about it not fitting comfortably in my pocket. I guess that isn't a problem?

It'll be a problem with an Otterbox! It's not really otherwise. It is the thinnest phone I've seen and there are many good cases that are thin, yet protect well. My wife loves hers.

I've heard 4 or 5 people say their screen have cracked already, one guy a good friend had his 3 days before it cracked down the middle of the screen. There seems to be a thread starting about this problem.

My co-worker is on his 3rd one already. First 2 crapped out of nowhere.

But when it works is nice.

I like how Samsung releases the 3 six months or so after releasing the 2 here in the US. I bought my GS2 when it first came out in November for AT&T, then roughly six months later it's superseded by the next best model. I expect competing companies like Apple or HTC to release phones that make mine obsolete, but not the very company who convinced me this phone was their best one ever to do it to me in so short a time.

The next phone I get will be the next Google Nexus they come out with. That way I'll at least have the latest and greatest OS running on it instead of always being at least one generation behind like I am now with this phone.

Sony is said to be getting the ability to update like the Nexus series. Google added Sony to their list.
I agree with you, waiting for new OS is harrowing at best.

Galaxy Nexus FTW! Yeah, I will admit that the nexus phone is the way to go. I've had Jelly Bean since it was released. I can at least remain on the front edge of the software side.

i did the same thing but!!! my mom said she was going to get a new phone she had hers for 2 years so she could get one at the contract price so i gave her my s2 and i got a s3 muhahhaaa
