Well, my bike got hit in the parking lot. So far the only damage I see is to my front fender (broken off at the front) and my right side bar end is scuffed. Any idea how much the fender runs?
At Napa Autoparts, picking up some thread locker. The guy stuck around and we traded info, which I'm pretty grateful for. He clipped it with his bumper backing out and it laid over (thank God for frame sliders!) and broke about the first 4 inches off the fender. I just called the dealership and it'll be about $110 all said and done to repair. I'm driving over to the guys house as he wants to pay me cash. For $110, I'm glad neither of us brought insurance into it. It's less than a deductible and would have probably raised his rate more than the damned fender costs.wtf happened bro? were u at a store or home? Didnt sink into the tar or anything and drop on its own?
Some people just freak out and panic... Here is California, a "hit and run" is a felony..nice to see good honest people. One time my wife hit another car in a parking lot and wanted to leave she was so panicked, lol I got out of the car and said go ahead you can go but im going to page the people in the store and give em our info hahaha. She realised thats a bad move to leave it just came from the panicked state of mind.
It's only a felony if someone gets hurt and you run. This was a non-injury accident and even if they left the Police would just say it a civil deal and not get involved. Just tell you to report any info to your insurance company. They would take the position of the other driver may not have even known he hit your bike so no misdemeanor charges could be filed. Some people just freak out and panic... Way to go on your part CC, It's nice to have people like you in this world... Most people would just leave.
Oh man that sucks!Well, my bike got hit in the parking lot. So far the only damage I see is to my front fender (broken off at the front) and my right side bar end is scuffed. Any idea how much the fender runs?
Hahaha yeah that was my original letter it happened in a food lion parking lot in Virginia beach va. I have the original picture on my facebook.....I posted it on phitobucket and the chive and it got spread everywhere.....believe me ur not the first to think I was pulling a shame
Fortunately, I don't have to wait for the bike to get done since the fender's the only real damage. I've been riding around fine with it as it, it just kinda hurts the pride when I notice the broken fender. I can deal with wounded pride though. I'll just be glad when my bike's whole again. That's good that he paid for it but geez for an extra $10 you have to run around and wait for the bike to get done etc. That sucks.
