Bars hitting the tank.

Hello guys, this is my first post on this forum. I just got a 2009 fz6r in blue. My main concern for now is that the steering bars are hitting the gas tank when turned all the way, how do i fix it?

Got pics? Are they standard bars? Undo clamps roll them forward. If they are the standard bars there should be heaps of room. I have FZ1 bars which are a lot lower and i have zero issues with them touching anywhere.

Yes they are stock, I think previous owner messed around with the lock or w.e it's called that blocks the bars from hitting the tank.

He probably rotated them down a bit much, just loosen up the 4 bolt in the middle and rotate them up a bit to clear the tank.

Yeah had the same problem, because i loosened the bolts and rotated them down a bit. That should fix the problem.^^^
