2 friends of mine are the owner of vip I will be helping them out for the next few days because the demand as grown so much in the last few weeks that they can barely keep up. I watch a 3D movie with this system and it really cool. The biggest thing with this unit is the capability of playing on a 60 Hrz TV too. The only converter to do so right now...

Yeah, I like the 3d technologies and have delt with a few of them, just hate the dam glasses. They have been working on a bendable screen display and also other technologies where you dont need the 3d glasses but that is still a few years away and they dont have real good viewing angles with them. Couple of articles about that which are intreasting.

Your right... we are a few years away for perfection. But it advancing very quick now... and getting more and more affordable. Just like PC's in the 80's...

The only downside that I found playing with a 60 Hrz TV is you need to have every light bulb switch off around the TV... But I've been told it wasn't an issue with a 120Hrz TV. They also have 2 different glass package. (I might be wrong here) one is infra red tech, the other one is better with RF tech... The reception is better. It work great! And there still improving product and doing R&D every day...
 
I remember playing with this technology *years* back when I was an undergrad computer science student working in the "high tech" visualization lab. I don't know why, but I was never really impressed with the tech then, and still am not now. Something about it just feels gimmicky and never really adds anything to the experience beyond that. Maybe I just haven't been exposed to any quality content yet or something...
 
After 2 crazy evening of mass production. I'm 1- Wear out and tired and 2- Happy to help out a good friend of mine. It was good work and lots of fun as always. Just got done with the first 300 units, got another 300 to build in about a week.

Can wait to be all done with the other 300 units... my friend told me I'll get a good bonus. A nice unit to connect to my own TV...:canada::thumbup::thumbup:

Now I need to get a PS3... woohoo!
 
Very Cool product. I purchased my tv and then all this 3d stuff comes, this could be the solution.

You could always go for this if you want 3D tv without the glasses.

How is he planning on making a converter to 60 hrz? I'm assuming it will be 30 frames per eye but that signal will be hard to obtain from a hdmi 1.4 frame packing signal. Also, if its at 30 frames per eye on a 60hrz lcd ghosting on almost all of those displays will be terrible.

I don't mean to doubt this man and would love to see it work to allow less financially inclined people to enjoy 3d. I'm just thinking aloud and would like to know how he is surpassing the limitations of a 60hrz television. I'll keep an eye on his products. I'm planning on buying an optoma 3d xl for my gt720 projector but may see what is released.

They're not planning of doing one. It's already done. The product has been out for few months and been tested left and right. It works. I've seen it myself! There's a toggle switch on the box to switch from 60 to 120 Hrz. But I can't answer all the question... I just know it work but doesn't know all the detail... Last week I got myself a new cel phone. LG Thrill 4G 3D phone. It's actually really good 3D without glasses for a phone. So I went to see my friend yesterday to do few test... it work! The phone make 3D video and has a HDMI connection. I does output 1080P (60 Hz) and work great with the 3D VIP converter. We will make more test tonight...

Now I was just wondering if any of you know where I can download 3D movies. I don't mind paying for it... I just can't find any.
