2011 Long Beach IMS Show

December 9-11 this year. Can't wait. Should be a lot of new bikes to drool on this year. My wife and I will be caging it up, probably with my Dad as well on the 10th. Would be cool to meet up with anyone from the forums if they're going to be there.

I've never been to a big show like this. Are the queues for demos rides reasonable? Do the dealers offer any special deals on new bikes?

Every time I've been it's been raining so the demo rides have been cancelled. You can get really good deals on the retail items but the manufacturers themselves are the ones showing bikes, not local dealerships.

Yamaha will be demo'ing the 2012 R1's. :). I already bought my tix but just dunno which day I'm going yet. Will ck back here once I know...

how u liking the 6R?

i'm no longer in SCAR btw... long story, but there are some asshole bullies in that group that picked on me. so, i just let Marc know who these jerks were, and i decided to leave. don't wanna run into them on any events ever.. i'm always nice to ppl, so i don't get why some ppl are so ego-maniac jerks... sigh.

I just found out today I'm going to have to go on the 11th (Sunday) My wife and I both work at Kaiser and her boss's, boss's, boss (Basically one of the most important people @ Kaiser in San Diego) invited us to her Xmas party. Kristen planned on going no matter what but she was told that she wanted me to come and that I will be there. :rolleyes: It's good because it's a great opportunity to go to a party with the most important and influential people in our organization. But I wanted to go to my bike show on Saturday damn it!!!!!! :banghead:

Rode up to Long Beach on my 6r and checked out the Progressive International Motorcycle Show. Long Beach, CA | International Motorcycle Shows If you live in So Cal, I would recommend checking it out tomorrow (9 to 5). All the major manufacturers were there letting attendees swing a leg over their 2012 models, and some were outside hosting demo rides. I fell in love with the Kawi ZX14r! There was a big custom chopper build-off with some pretty creative entries. Lots of seminars and a stunt show too Pushed my way through the crowd to meet the 2012 Ducati Panigale. Stopped in Laguna Beach on the way home to check out the sunset. :) All in all a pretty fun day!! The photos below were taken with my phone so they kinda suck... but whateva!

If I were ever to buy a cruiser, and had 40K, I'd probably get a Chief. I've loved this bike ever since I was a little kid:

This was my Dad's first bike










Love the Ninja 1000. One of two bikes there that could very easily end up being my next bike in a year or two.


The paint on this thing was insane.





I really like Roland Sands bikes. I think he's got to be the best custom bike builder out there. The way he can combine sport, cruiser, cafe etc... all into one bike is awesome.



Nice picture taking Dad! This is the other bike I'm really considering. CBR600rr. By far the most comfortable of all the supersports out there for my bum neck.

This is about 25% of the motorcycle parking lot. Think a few people were happy it didn't rain this year for the show like usual?
