This is what I always find amazing with engines...

The Fat Bob at almost 1700 CC, is about the same HP as the 600CC FZ6R. But it has about 100 FT LB Torque.

I rode a Low rider a couple years ago as a rental, it had the 96 cu. engine I believe. Even though not high HP numbers, it sure did pull. Took it down and up some very steep canyons and felt like it could climb straight up a wall with ease haha.
