That harbor freight stand has horrible rubber padding on the swing arm rests. The very first time I used it, the rubber started to peel off. If you get that one, expect to have to replace the rubber with something immediately. I used a few furniture feet felt pads.

No, they don't light up....Thats just metal, and the camera's flash just kinda makes them look like LED's. ;)

Probably would't be too hard to paint. Since they come apart, you wouldn't have to risk getting any paint on the carbon fiber inserts. Really, the only hard part I see is not getting it into the 6 holes on the outside.

That was your first oil change? 2,218? The reason you are supposed to change it at 600 is to clear out the metal shavings that get in the oil from the pistons and other internal parts. By leaving all that in there, you have a good chance of causing damage.:(
